If you managed to keep your golf cap on your head today, consider that your first win of the round! The wind was certainly making its presence felt around Queenstown Golf Club, with balls catching the breeze and players having to think twice before committing to a shot. Despite the challenging conditions, there were some excellent scores in today's Stableford, and Danny King showed the field how it's done, putting together a superb 42 points to take the top spot.

Twos Money – Five Players Beat the Wind!

There were five twos recorded today, each earning a handy $12. A little precision goes a long way when the wind is trying to send your ball somewhere else entirely!

  • Philip Mulvey — $12

  • Colin Tanner — $12

  • Graeme Allan — $12

  • Neil Watson — $12

  • Darren Hill — $12

Well played, gents — getting it close is one thing, but getting it in the hole in two is even better!

Birdies Draw – Hole 13

The Birdies Draw on Hole 13 produced three lucky winners, each taking home $21

  • Danny King — $21

  • Andrew Gunn — $21

  • Rex Duncan — $21

Danny and Rex clearly weren't content with just collecting Stableford prize money both managed to add to their winnings. Andrew Gunn joined the party too, making Hole 13 a particularly rewarding stop!

Net Eagles Draw – Hole 7

The Net Eagles Draw on Hole 7 went to Philip Mulvey, who scooped a very tidy $62.

Philip was already among the twos winners, so that's a pretty good day's work! Perhaps the wind was blowing in the right direction for him after all.Well Played, Everyone!

Congratulations to all our prize winners for battling through a blustery day and still producing some excellent golf. Between the wind, the Stableford scores and the special prize draws, there was plenty happening out there.

Here's hoping the next round brings a little less breeze and a few more balls landing exactly where they're supposed to!

Until next time, keep your caps secure, your feet planted and your golf balls out of the wind!
