Second Queenstown Ladies 9 Hole Tournament a Wonderful Success

The second Queenstown Golf Club Ladies 9 Hole Tournament was played in near-perfect conditions on Wednesday, with blue skies, calm weather and plenty of smiles making for a fantastic day of golf and friendship on the Kelvin Peninsula.

45 Players travelled from seven different clubs including Arrowtown, Alexandra, Cromwell, Dunstan, Paeroa, Wanaka and Queenstown, creating a wonderful atmosphere both on and off the course. Great weather and great sportsmanship combined to make the tournament another memorable occasion for all involved.

Prizes were presented by Nola Pratt and Julie Grant, who thanked all players for supporting the event and helping create such a positive and welcoming atmosphere throughout the day.

Special thanks also went to Beth Chisholm for her work behind the scenes helping coordinate the tournament, along with Ella Wilson for her efforts gathering raffle prizes and supporting the event preparations.

A great field and excellent spirit throughout the day once again highlighted the growing popularity of women’s 9 hole golf and the strong connections shared between clubs across the region.
